She was brought up with two siblings and a brother. Her mother tongue was Hungarian which she frequently learned the language in order to be proficient. Bruckner was a Hollywood Californian, being born of Hungarian parents as well as Russian mothers who had separated. The paternal grandparents of Bruckner were German. They came into contact in Hungary. They emigrated to into the U.S. through an Italian refugee camp. She has two siblings and one younger brother.
